Late last week.. I’m looking deeply on meaning of performance tuning and capacity planning. I need to understand more so that after this I am able to answer and explain more about it next week.
Capacity Planing: -
Determine the required future configuration of hardware / software, network, storage and etc.
To see what is future planning for organization in long term.
The goal of capacity planning is to minimize the discrepancy - inefficiency either under-utilized resources or unfulfilled users.
Performance Tuning:
It is circle routine that to make sure performance of server is good on it’s daily operations. This can be done on analyst performance output using performance and analysis tools. Output can then be determine either applications need to be tuning or hardware resource need to be increase so that performance will be always be good on daily operations. Well, i hope with what i found here is good enough for me to explain to them and making them feel happy on me as a top candidate.
