For LUN decommission, we need to give extra careful especially the LUN information to remove. Before working on the storage, we have to ensure we already remove zoning on the switch


1) Delete Zoning
2) Remove alias and port label

On Storage Navigator
3) Login to the Storage Navigator
4) Select LUN Manager and remove LUN Security
5) For SI configuration, Select ShadowImage Icon and Select the PVOL port.
6) Highlight PVOL LUN , right click and select Pairsplit –S. Also there are option to run from Backup server # pairspli –g -S

7) Once above step done , Status will change to SMPL
8) Then Click icon LUN Manager and Select the PVOL or SVOL port will remove.
9) It’s advisable to Highlight the LUN and verify again with documentation and release the LUN.
10) Click Apply
11) Select the hostgroup and delete if no other lun assign to this port.
